What is an ebike light switch cluster?
Electric bikes use multiple switches grouped into control panels that manage different features of the bike. On the Fatfish OG 2.0, the indicator and light functions are controlled through a dedicated indicator and light switch cluster.
This cluster includes buttons for the indicators, headlight, and rear light, keeping all lighting controls in one place. The switch cluster is mounted on the handlebar so riders can operate it easily and safely while riding, without needing to take their hands off the bars or divert their attention.
When should your ebike's switch clusters be replaced?
If you notice that pressing the buttons on the control panel is not yielding the result it should instantly, e.g., if you press the headlight button and the headlight doesn't switch on or the buttons are worn from heavy usage, and you are experiencing difficulty pressing these without much effort.
Check the wire leading to and from the cluster switches for damage; replace if you find any issues here.
The best way to approach switch clusters on any electronic devices, not just ebikes is to think of them like the TV remote. We know it's time to replace a remote, if the buttons are not triggering the sensor or when it is heavily worn.
Can you use switch clusters for ebikes interchangeably?
No. You can only use switch clusters designed specifically for an e-bike model. This is because of the connector plugs, voltage and other specifications that make these switch clusters talk to the controller of your e-bike safely.
You risk affecting the bike's life if you replace these connectors with generic parts instead of the ones vetted, manufactured and supplied by the ebike brand and its authorised dealers.
You also risk violating the terms of your warranty if you replace these with a generic part.

All orders are dispatched within 3–5 business days from our Gold Coast Showroom, this is followed by a transit time frame.
For Standard Shipping, we offer free delivery on orders over $99. Orders under $99 will incur a $9.90 flat shipping fee. Excludes WA, NT and remote areas.
If you need your order sooner, our $14.00 Express Shipping is available for non-bulky items (not available for bikes and bulky items), usually arriving the next business day in metro areas. Excludes WA, NT and remote areas. Please note, express shipping is not available for ebikes, escooters and other bulky items.
Bulky items are shipped by carrier not post, hence may take longer to arrive than non-bulky items.
We also offer a Click & Collect service, allowing you to order online and conveniently pick up your items in-store at no extra cost. Make sure to collect your order within 7 business days from when you're notified that your order is ready.
For products available for pre-order, please check the ETA provided for stock availability. The ETA indicates when stock will be ready, not the delivery date. Once stock is available, your order will be processed, and standard shipping times will apply.
